Background
LogIn, Inc. brings over 20 years of experience to the online information industry gained through developing and managing information networks. LogIn has worked both in partnership with major associations and autonomously to deliver these highly successful networks without burdening client budgets and staff.

LogIn began in 1981 as a product of Control Data Corporation called LOGINŽ, an acronym for LOcal Government Information Network. In cooperation with major local government associations like the National League of Cities and the International City/County Managers Association, LOGINŽ became the first and most successful online information resource for local government professionals.

Years before its time, and much more advanced than bulletin board systems, LOGINŽ became a successful model on which to build future online communities supporting association membership needs. In 1988, LOGINŽ spun out of Control Data and the company, LogIn, Inc., was formed as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the William C. Norris Institute. This is also the year Shelley Rose joined the company. (Ms. Rose is now the company's President and Chief Executive Officer.)

LogIn experienced some early start-up pains but soon became profitable, agile and efficient with an emphasis on serving the customer. In 2000, the William C. Norris Institute sold LogIn to the stakeholders who had passionately built the business and developed its niche for serving association membership's information and networking needs.

This success is revealed in LogIn's IACP Net product started in 1991 in partnership with the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Effective law enforcement leaders choose IACP Net to find and share innovations, policies and solutions for the business side of policing. It is their premier go-to resource for law enforcement information. The number of participating U.S. and international agencies in IACP Net has grown by over 8% per year over the past five years.
